About me

15749_10202257280969047_5379555344479087819_nI’m a mid-20s journalist, living in the Deep South. I am the editor at a community newspaper in the Baton Rouge area. I write, photograph and design a newspaper every week. It is a trying job, but it is one that I love.

I was born and raised in the Seattle area originally. My parents are the “granola types” so I gravitated toward art, music and literature. I joined the Army at 19 in a fit of wanderlust and completed one tour in Iraq as a combat engineer. I returned to Washington in 2011 and earned a degree in journalism at Western Washington University, in Bellingham. I moved down South with my girlfriend in August, 2014.

I love science fiction fandoms, drinking coffee and the ocean. Of all things, I enjoy learning and traveling the most.

The road ahead is open.
